Blair Scott was born and raised in Elliot Lake, Ontario, a small northern community along the North Shore of Lake Huron.  At age 18, Blair moved to Pambrun, Saskatchewan to attend Millar Memorial Bible College.  The time spent at Millar, and the natural beauty of Saskatchewan left an indelible impression on his life. In 1996, Blair graduated from Humber College in Toronto from the Funeral Service Education (FSE) Program. He began his professional career in Hamilton, Ontario, before becoming the Manager of Parkview Funeral Chapel in 2007. In 2008 Blair was presented with the opportunity to purchase Parkview Funeral Chapel from Dignity, a corporation based in the United States. Along with Kelly, Blair now owns and operates Parkview Funeral Chapel.

Kelly Scott was born in Prince George, British Columbia. Kelly’s father, Lee Richardson, was proud to serve as a life-long member of the Canadian Forces. At age 18, Kelly chose to follow in her father’s foot steps and joined the Canadian Forces serving a total of 13 years. In 2001 Kelly moved to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, before joining Parkview Funeral Chapel in 2007. Kelly graduated from SIAST Funeral-Service Program in 2008. Kelly and her husband Blair own and operate Parkview Funeral Chapel. together. Kelly and Blair were married in their own chapel in Parkview on July 22, 2012.

Cheryl Richardson was born in Prince George, British Columbia.  As a member of a military family, Cheryl had the opportunity to live in many provinces across Canada.  Cheryl moved to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan in 1995 where she has settled and raised her two children.  Cheryl spent nearly 20 years working in retail sales. Cheryl has been an employee of Parkview Funeral Chapel since 2008, and is a Funeral Director as well as the Office Administrator. Following in her sister Kelly Scott's footsteps, she graduated from Mount Royal University in September 2014 and received a Funeral Director certificate.

Support Staff

Lee Richardson

Lee was born in Niagara Falls, ON and joined the Canadian Forces as a Finance Clerk in 1960. Military life lead him coast to coast from British Columbia to Nova Scotia, as well as abroad to the Golan Heights, finally settling in Moose Jaw in 1990 as the Branch Master Warrant Officer. Since retiring from the Canadian Forces in 1992, he and his wife Donna have made Moose Jaw their permanent home. When Lee’s daughter Kelly became the owner of Parkview, he began helping out regularly around the funeral home, eventually becoming an “official” staff member in May 2010.


Donna Richardson

Donna was born in Niagara Falls, ON. She became a military spouse in 1960 when she married Lee. She was fortunate to experience life in many provinces while raising four children with her husband. Over the years, Donna worked mostly in retail, but then took an accounting office position while living in Nova Scotia. She transferred to a CFB Moose Jaw civilian accounting position in 1990, and retired as the NPF Accounting Supervisor in 2007. When Donna’s daughter Kelly became owner of Parkview, she began helping out regularly around the funeral home, eventually becoming an “official” staff member in May 2010.


John Langford

John was born and raised in the Moose Jaw district spending the first 16 years of his life on a dairy farm.  He then went on to have a successful sales career for over 40 years, retiring from John Deere. John is a familiar face in and around Moose Jaw, and has been on the staff at Parkview Funeral Chapel since June of 2001.



Bruce McLeod

Bruce was born in the district of Welwyn. After graduating from high-school in 1956, he started his own construction business in Eston, Saskatchewan. In 1968, Bruce purchased dairy cattle from Caronport Bible College, and then started Caroncrest Dairy, which is still in operation today. Bruce joined Parkview Funeral Chapel in 2008 and continues to be an able, much-appreciated employee.


Judy Wilson

Judy was born in Hodgeville, Sask.  After graduation Judy moved to Moose Jaw and has lived in Moose Jaw for over 30 years.  She is employed full time as a scheduling clerk in the Home Care Office with the Five Hills Health Region.  She is on the Board of Directors of the Moose Jaw Exhibition Co., and through this she is involved with the Rodeo, Moose Jaw Hometown Fair and Focus on Trade committees.  Judy has been an employee of Parkview Funeral Chapel since 2009.


Dennis Down

Dennis Down was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and grew up on a farm in the Parkbeg district. After graduating from High School, he enrolled in a CMA accounting course and received the CMA designation in 1974. Dennis was the founding president of the Saskatchewan chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors. He won the International Membership Competition, New Chapter Award in 1980-81 for organizing the largest new membership chapter within North America for that year. In 1995, Dennis took early retirement with his wife Marlene to take up farming in the Parkbeg district. He is currently the President of the Moose Jaw Camping Club, and has held various executive positions within Square & Round Dance clubs. He is also a member of the Mortlach Riding Arena Association.  Dennis has been working for Parkview Funeral Chapel since 2007.


Jo Overby

Jo was born and raised in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Jo is an active volunteer for the Canadian Red Cross teaching courses for children ages 12 to 18 such as “Beyond the Hurt,” a course which aims to help prevent and deal with the issue of bullying. Jo joined the staff of Parkview Funeral Chapel in 2010.


Bob Langdon

Bob was born in Moose Jaw and raised on a farm in the Archydal district north west of the city.  He began farming in 1959 and in that same year enrolled in the School of Agriculture at the U of S, graduating in 1961.  On March 30 of 1961 he married Marlene (Reich) of Craik Sask. and they farmed and raised four children in the Archydal and Pasqua districts.  In the fall of 1989 they left the farm in the capable hands of their sons Chris and Eric and Bob enrolled in the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Saskatoon.   He took his Clinical Pastoral education at the Grey Nuns Hospital in Edmonton and Interned in the parish of Concordia Lutheran Church in Churchbridge, SK, St. Paul’s Lutheran in Langenburg, SK, and Bethel Lutheran in Marchwell SK.  Bob graduated from LTS on May 7, 1993, was ordained in his home congregation of Central Lutheran in Moose Jaw on the following Sunday, May 9th and began serving in full time parish ministry at Peace Lutheran Church in Weyburn, SK, on May 15th.  During his time in Weyburn he also served as Vice Pastor at Peace Lutheran in Yellow Grass, St. John Lutheran in Lang, and Bethlehem Lutheran in Midale.  After Peace Lutheran Church in Weyburn, Rev. Bob served Rolling Prairie Parish consisting of Christ Lutheran in Earl Grey, SK, and St Mark in Markinch, SK, from Nov. 1995 until May of 2002.  He served Messiah Lutheran in Assiniboia from May 2002 until retiring to Moose Jaw in August of 2007.  Since then he has been serving part time in various parishes within driving distance of Moose Jaw as well as officiating at funerals.   He joined the staff at Parkview Funeral Chapel  in April 2010.


Ron Silvester

Ron and his wife Lorna, formerly of Mossbank SK, are the founders of Twin Lakes Ranch Ministries. They made a choice to leave their own ranch in search of a piece of land where Twin Lakes Ranch Ministries could be more accessible to people, places and events. They settled just outside of Moose Jaw in 2010. Ron began working with Parkview Funeral Chapel in 2013.



Jesse Evans, Canada Purple Shield Representative

Jesse was born and raised in Moose Jaw before moving to Saskatoon in 2004 to marry his wonderful wife Kimberly and to start their family of two daughters, Cassidy and Lucia.  In 2014, Jesse and his family moved back to Moose Jaw, where he began working with Canada Purple Shield.  He specializes in helping families reduce the future stress on their loved ones, by pre-planning for their inevitable funerals.  He is involved in the community of Moose Jaw through family fundraising efforts for Cystic Fibrosis, The Children’s Wish Foundation, and is an active member of the Moose Jaw Kinsmen Club. In 2016, Jesse qualified to attend the Canada Purple Shield Premiere Club conference, which recognizes the top agents from across Canada for their quality of service to their clients.  He takes a very considerate and relaxed approach to help you put your final wishes in writing, and to help set aside funds for your final expenses.  Jesse has both his Life Insurance license, and his Funeral Sales license to professionally assist you with your final wishes.
