Obituary of Bob Geib
It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Robert "Bob" Geib on October 4, 2019 at the age of 63. Bob grew up on the farm near Spring Valley. He loved and worked very hard on the farm. In 1974 when the farm was sold he joined the Army. He was a member of the Third Battalion Royal Canadian Regiment. He served peace keeping in Cypress. Shortly after returning he was diagnosed with a rare blood disease. He fought back from the deadly disease and was given a medial discharge. Bob held numerous jobs over the years but loved his present job at Cypress Paving and always ready to work day or night. Bob is predeceased by his parents Frank and Grace; brother Richard; and Joshua Patterson. He will be sadly missed by his fiancé and partner of 17 years Marie; sisters Marian, Judy, Joan (Gary), Darlene; brother Murray and their children; Marie's children and their families, Melissa, Aaron (Tessa), Jeremiah (Keli), Areta (Derek) and Joshua's daughter. The family wishes to thank Cypress Paving, Dr. F. H. Wigmore Hospital, Regina General Hospital SICU and Stars Air Ambulance. His last breath was one of peace. A Celebration of Bob's life will be held on Friday October 11, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Masonic Lodge, 1755 Main St N, Moose Jaw. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Star's Air Ambulance, 2640 Airport Road, Regina, Saskatchewan,S4W 1A3 or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, 110-1525 Carling Avenue, Ottawa, ON, K1Z 8R9. In living memory of Bob, a memorial planting will be made by Jones - Parkview Funeral Services.
